Professor Green, known to the world as a scientist, is not only absent-minded but short-sighted as well. His mind is always busy scientific problems and seldom notices what is going on him.
One fine day recently, he went a walk in the countryside, but as he has a book in his hand. When he went out , he began to read his book . He hadn’t gone far he run into a big cow and fell down. In the fall, he had lost his glasses, without which he couldn’t see anything. He thought he had hit his head a fat lady. “I’m sorry, Madam.” He said politely searching for his glasses. As soon as he had , he realized his mistake.
Soon he was fixing his mind on his book and paid no attention to anything else. He had scarcely been walking for five minutes when he fell over again, both his book and his glasses. This time he got very angry, seizing his umbrella, he gave the “cow” a wild blow. Then, after finding his glasses, he realized with horror that he made a second mistake. A large fat woman was fleeing from him in a horror.

I just heard you tell an old story of gift giving and unselfish love in your program. You don’t know whether it is true that such unselfish love would happen in today’s world. Well, I’m here to give you .
I wanted to do something very for my fifteen-year-old son, who has always been the perfect child. He worked all summer to earn enough money to buy a used motorcycle. Then, he spent hours and hours on it it looked almost new. I was so proud of him that I bought him the shiniest helmet(头盔)and a riding outfit(全套装备）.
I could hardly wait for him to open up his gift. In fact, I couldn’t sleep the night before. Upon awakening, I went to the kitchen to the coffee, tea, and morning dishes. In the living room was a beautiful keyboard with a : “To my wonderful mother, all my love, your son.”
I was so surprised. It had been a long-standing joke in our family that I wanted a piano so that I could take lessons. “Learn to play the piano, and I’ll get you one” was my husband’s promise.
I stood there shocked, crying a river, myself how my son could this expensive gift.
Of course, the house awoke, and my son was very pleased with my reaction（反应）. Many kisses were exchanged, and I immediately wanted him to my gift.
