An American scientist has found that using aspirin (阿斯匹林) increase the temporary (暂时的)hearing loss or damage from loud noise. He did an experiment using a number of students at a university who all had normal hearing. He gave them different amounts of aspirin for different periods of time, then he tested their hearing ability. He found that students who were given four grams of aspirin a day for two days suffered much greater temporary hearing loss than those who did not use aspirin. The hearing loss was about two times as great.
The scientist said millions of persons in the U.S. use much larger amounts of aspirin than were used in his experiment. He said these persons face a serious danger of suffering hearing loss from loud noise.

Some believe exercise can be helpful. But the trouble is that it only makes you want to eat more. You might sweat out a couple of pounds playing tennis or climbing a mountain, but you put it all back on again with a big steak or bread and jam.
A helpful way is food choosing. But what sort of food should you choose? Some believe that the less they eat, the slimmer they will be. They don’t eat anything until they become weak with hunger. Some stick to milk and bananas. You’ll find you need a lot of bananas, and unless you live where they grow, they aren’t cheap. Another says that if you eat things like hard-boiled eggs, and apples with their skins on which are hard for your stomach to digest (消化), the more you eat, the thinner you get. This is because you use up the fat in your body to get the energy to digest the food.
For most of us these methods are too extreme (极端的). The simplest way is just to cut down on the carbohydrates (糖类) that means not eating bread, potatoes, cakes, sugar, rice, and so on and eating anything else you like. It’s straight forward and often quite effective.
Still others like to be more scientific. They are calorie countries. They get a table, which tells them that, for example, 100 grams of roast let of lamb gives you 330 calories and a 50 gram helping of Yokshire pudding gives you 130 calories.

Being healthy is a way of saying a person eats well, gets a lot of physical activity (exercise), and has a healthy weight. If you"re healthy, your body works well, feels good, and can do all the things you want to do. Here are five rules to live by, if you"re a kid who wants to be healthy.
Eat a Variety of Foods, Especially Fruits and Vegetables. You may have a favorite food, but the best choice is to eat a variety. If you eat different foods, you"re more likely to get the nutrients(营养) your body needs. Taste new foods and old ones you haven"t tried for a while. Get at least five servings of fruits and vegetables a day — two fruits and three vegetables.
Drink Water and Milk Most Often. When you"re really thirsty, cold water is the No. 1 for you. Kids need calcium(钙)to build strong bones, and milk is a great source of this mineral. How much do kids need? Aim for 3 cups of milk per day. You can mix it up by having milk and some other calcium-rich dairy foods .
Be Active. One job you have as a kid — and it"s a fun one — is that you get to figure out which activities you like best. Not everyone loves baseball or soccer. Ask your parents to help you do your favorite activities regularly. Find ways to be active every day. You might even write down a list of fun stuff to do, so you can refer to it when your mom or dad says it"s time to stop watching TV or playing computer games!

Mothers with young children are heavier and eat more calories and fatty foods, and consume more sugary dinks than chidless women, scientists said. And both sexes are less active than those in their age group without children.
Parents often choose quick, easily preparesd foods that are high in fat and calories, and by choosing these foods they may in turn serve them to their children, forming a cycle of unhealthy diet.
Dr.Berge, one of the study authors, said:“This isn"t a study about blame, this is about spotting a very high-risk time period for parents that doctors should be aware of ,so they can offer solutions(解决办法).”
According to the study ,mothers ate more fatty foods and drank about seven sugary drinks weekly, equal to about four chidless women. They also had an average of 2,360 calories daily,368 calories more than women without children,With that many calorise, women that age would need to be active to avoid to avoid gaining weight.
Fathers ate about the same amount of daily calories childless men and both had an average boby-mass index(指数),but fathersgot less physical activity—about five hours weekly ,compared to almost seven hours among chidless men.
The study has several limitations-there"s no data on how many women reccently had babies.Ther"s also no information on the number of single parents, who likely face diet and exercise challenges.Sarah Kriger,an American dietician who works with new mothers said some of the mothers may have had postpartum(产后)depression, which might affect their eating and exercise habits.

On December 26, a spokesman of the Ministry of Health stressed that the ministry was firmly against doctors’ moonlighting, while strict regulations should be applied to doctors taking part-time jobs, the Xinhua News Agency reported.
Last year, the Ministry sent out a notice to a variety of health organizations to speed up the reform of their personnel (人事) system. According to the notice, medical organizations can hire medical experts as part-time doctors but such activities should take place under the hospital’s management and regulations(规定).
As for moonlighting--meaning that the doctor provides medical service without the permission of the original hospital--such activity goes against China’s Practicing Doctor Law, Xinhua reported.
In China, doctors used to be controlled by hospitals and they could work for only one hospital. However, as China’s medical personnel system reform developed, it has been recognized that medical human resources, just like human resources in other areas, should be shared by the whole society. But on the other hand, doctors’ taking part-time jobs should follow the relative regulations applied in the medical field.
First of all, they should follow relative government laws and regulations. They should also follow the rules and regulations set by the medical organizations they work for. In addition, they should pay taxes for their income from the part-time jobs. What matters most is that they should first finish their regular jobs as required and be responsible for patients to ensure qualified and safe medical treatment.

From this passage we know that doctors are allowed to nowadays.
A.only work for one hospital | B.work for more than one hospital |
C.work any time when they are free | D.be out of control of hospitals |

D.a magazine or a newspaper |
