easy and comes quickly, and you can measure the results in terms of sharp and correctly de- veloped pictures.
Once you have mastered that, you can start on the second step of your photographic work. Using these basic
skills in the wide variety of situations to give the pictures you want, noticing what you see through the
viewfinder and turning that into the most effective picture become totally interesting.
All good photographs have one thing in common: there is no doubt what the subject of the picture is meant
to be. Every photog- rapher must use those same standards to his or her work, not only to finished results but
to the subject before he or she takes it. Always work out quite clearly what the subject of the picture is to be
and why you are taking the picture. For example, "I am going to take a picture of this street to show the
different styles and ages of the buildings and that people have been living, working and shopping in them since
time began." By doing this you have a better idea of what to include in the picture and what to leave out. How
often have you been shown photographs taken by people away on a trip some- where? The judgment is always
similar, something about"the car park is out of the picture to the left",or " you can"t quite see from this picture
but if you go up the street". The photographs are usual- ly collections of buildings, people, parked cars,
possibly a distant look of an ancient church, and best of all, a figure which you are told is Aunt Henrietta,
disappearing in the middle distance. When photographers show you their pictures, they have a clear idea of
what they want to bring to your attention, but it often does not ap- pear in the picture. If they had given just a
little of their time to think about their future judgment before taking the picture, then the picture would relate its
own story. Good pictures can show their sub- jects quickly and easily.

things needing your atten tion. Jobs and careers are fewer than you might entirely be prepared for; especially
when satisfying employment is something you need to seriously think about. How are you going to find the job
that you want and how are you going to avoid traps in your way? When you want to make the most out of your job search, take a moment and think about the things that you must avoid at all costs.
One of the most important rules is, never to compromise on your requirements such that it will negatively
affect your life and peace of mind at a later stage. Keep in mind your basic expectations from a job. It might be
something along the lines of increased monetary pay ment or you might find that it has something to do with
benefits or time off. Whatever it is that you count as your basic requirements, make sure that you do not accept a job without it. Your requirements might be difficult to get, but you have all the rights to try and a chieve them.
That being said, don"t shy away from odd jobs that might actu ally take you to the place that you want to be
in, eventually. Some- times, finding the right job is a matter of luck and chance after you have been searching
and putting in a lot of efforts. And if something unexpected happens, remember that taking chances is something you might want to seriously consider. You are in a place where you are thinking about moving forward, so
don"t be surprised by what route it might take to get there. As long as you keep your goals in mind, you are going to be doing much better than other people are during their job search.
If you are looking for the right career, another thing that you can do to make sure that you get the right kind of employment is to advertise yourself. When you do nothing to push yourself forward, you will be the one
suffering for it. If required, motivate yourself and try to look at all that you possess by way of positive traits.
Make sure that you can present your skills and abilities in the best light possi ble. If the jobs that you have set
your sights on are challenging, set targets for yourself and work towards them in a systematic and fo cused
manner. The more efforts you put into marketing yourself, the better will be your chances of obtaining the job
of your choice.
Remember that when you are working on a job search, you should not shortchange yourself. This is because you will only hurt yourself by aiming low.

Get Independence by Ourselves The passage is mainly about a father"s accompanying his son studying at his university. What makes us puzzled is that his son is a postgraduate. In most people"s opinion, a university student is old e nough to look after himself. I can"t understand the father at all. And I am against his idea and action because his son is a postgraduate and old enough to deal with all the difficulties by himself. All parents should allow their children to face the reality and win the independence. I think independence is important for children. After all, we all will grow up and face the reality by ourselves. Life is really tough and we will face all kinds of difficulties. We must be independent to solve the problems. So we should develop our independence from young. After all parents can"t accompany us all the time. Certainly all children are facing problems and all parents would like to do all for them. But I think children should get their inde pendence by themselves and only in this way can they face the real- ity on their own. Reading is very important to help you learn English. To learn as much as you can from reading, you need to read different kinds of English. This book provides not only different kinds of English but also a good way to check your reading ability. There are four parts in the book: Part 1 is Messages: In this part somebody wants to send infor mation in writing to somebody else. There is a test on timetables and a test on text messages. Part 2 is People: In this part all the tests are about people. For example, there is an informal letter between friends. There is formal (正式的) English in biography (传记). There is a job application as a model to help with your writing, as well as testing your reading. Part 3 is Places: In this part, too, many different kinds of Eng- lish are shown, some informal and some formal. There is the informal English of a holiday postcard. There is also the formal English in a letter of complaint. Part 4 is Things: You will find some descriptive writing in this part. There are descriptions of clothes and of a computer. You can do these tests in any order you like, or you can do all the tests with a formal or informal text. I enjoyed writing this book and I hope you enjoy using it. | |||||||||||||||||
