English and I
There is a special connection between the English language and myself.Firstly,it is the first language that I have learnt besides my mother language,Chinese.When I was first taught to speak English,I started to understand that there are other languages in the world.That made me feel suddenly quite insecure.That was my first impression of English.
When I am learning English,I am very frustrated most of the times.I cannot remember how many times it was when I chucked the English-Chinese dictionary off my desk,yelling “I’ll never look at this again!”.Neither can I remember how many times it was when I went to pick up the poor book afterwards.Learning English was hard,but I did my best at it.
Today,I feel rather fortunate that I had put the hard yards in; because English is about the most commonly used international language.Be able to excel in it certainly guarantees a brighter future.
And that,is the long story between English and I.
