在当今的信息社会里一则广告能否吸引广告受众的注意和认识是导致广告成败的关键.同时,广告必须易于理解,便于记忆,否则就难以给人留下深刻的印象.冗长乏味,晦涩难懂的广告是难以激发广告受众的购买***的.只有在广告受众认识清楚之后才能使他们产生购买的***,最终付诸行动,购买所宣传的商品,从而达到广告的真正目的,这一目的同时也应是广告翻译的最终目的.如果译文不能达到这样的目的和效果,就不能算是成功的翻译.无论是好的广告文本,还是成功的译本,都必须能够唤起广告受众的购买欲,有力地促进产品的销售,或者应被市场销售专家认为能达到或最有可能达到广告的商业目的.
