anything but 只有一种用法.
 
    anything 是不定代词,可充当表语或宾语,but只能用作否定连词,合起来表示“除…之外任何方面都会…”或“根本不”,如：
 

She is anything but a beauty.她一点也不漂亮.

The problem is anything but easy.这个问题绝不容易.

all but 有两种用法.
 
   1、 共同构成副词短语,用来修饰动词,表示“差不多/几乎”,如：
 

She all but fainted when she heard the news.听到那消息,她差点晕过去.

The girl was all but crying with relief.那个女孩子快乐地差一点大叫起来.

 
    2、all 为不定代词,可充当表语或宾语,but用作连词,表示“除了…之外（都）”,如：
 

I knew them all but one. 除了一个我不认识之外,其余的人我都认识.（要不是有一个人例外的话,我差一点都认识）
