First of all,we learn English to communicate with people from all over the world.As we all know,after the revolution in China,more and more foreigners poured into our country for business.And there are much more international activities among countries.But for English,we would have been lost chances to attend many international affairs.In reality,Enlish helped us a lot develop our economies and improve the relationship between countries.To sum up,that we learn Enlish is largely due to the appeal made by government
However,in many ways,people learn English for themselves.Those who have a good command of English are usually tend to find well-paid job.And speaking fluent English can make us have higher status.Further more,there are lots of people learning English only for their common needs.They have to talk to foreigners to make a living.For example,stalls in the busy street or at the famous scenic spots are popular with foreigners,and the owners of these stalls should learn English so as to make business.
In addition,the film made by Hollywood is another factor to encourage people to English.Those who enjoy the films badly want to understand the film more easily.
All in all,Enlish is already in our life.It helps us a lot
