I think it is a great idea,because globalization has forced us to accept and learn more things about the U.S..In fact,Chinese government has already put English as mandatory course in elementary school as well as middle school through high school.As China progresses vigorously in the world,it is very important for the country to understand English in order to have a firm stand in both economics and politics.
