F. Stop Expecting Everything to Be Perfect
How to Simplify Your Life
Less is more. This is why we say: reduce things by half instead of doubling them, get rid of junk instead of piling it up, relax instead of stressing, slow down instead of speeding up.Apply these principles in your everyday life in a conscious way.You will then find yourself well along on your journey to simplification.
1.___ _______.
When you concentrate on one task, you find you have energy that you didn"t even know you had.Just imagine: you are at a fair and you have to carry two heavy pigs over 100 yards. If you keep grabbing one and then the other, it will take forever, because one of them will keep slipping out from under your arm and running off.But if you tie one pig in a place, pick up the other, gather all your strength and make a dash for the finish line, pause for a moment, run back and get the other one, and with great determination, carry the second pig to the finish line, then you can be sure of success.
2.__________.
The pressure at work is on the increase in all occupations. In the modern nuclear family, the expectations that formerly would have been shared among all the relatives are now concentrated on the individual partner.
If you have the feeling that 24 hours per day are not enough for all the things you need to do, then it’s not because the day has too few hours, but because you have too many activities.A simple fact that overloaded people often tend to forget. The solution is equally simple: refuse to accept so many work assignments in your private life or your working life.
3. ______.
“I can handle stress” is regarded as a positive statement in the world of work.People who can handle stress are given more and more to cope with — until one day they break.
Pay careful attention to the signs that tell you that you are under more stress than you can cope with. These signals came from various areas of life. You become ill, or your work efficiency decreases.
If you have any of these symptoms, change your life goals and decrease your tolerance of stress.Say quite openly, "I can"t manage that."
4. _____.
"If only I were slimmer, more beautiful, richer, cleverer, then I would be happier." This is a dream that makes a lot of people ill, depressed, and unhappy.Life has its flaws, defects, comets, and edges.Only those who accept this reality can lead a really full life.
Of course there are activities in which errors are dangerous; driving a car, crossing the road. But life doesn"t consist entirely of these things. In among them there is a lot of room for small and large mistakes.
5.___________.
Successful people all have their own places where they can withdraw in order to work.Find out which places improve your creativity. For me it"s the train. When I know that I"m going to be traveling for four hours without phone calls and people knocking on my door, I find my mind is free and I can read or write complex articles. There can be problems working on the train, of course: if the person sitting opposite you keeps talking away, or if train trips make you tired (some people fall asleep after a few miles).

E. Take Time to Reflect
Five Simple Ways to Increase Your Intelligence
Your brain needs exercise just like a muscle. If you use it often and in the right ways, you will become a more skilled thinker and increase your ability to focus.
Here are 5 simple ways anyone can squeeze a bit more productivity out of the old gray matter.
小题1:_________-This is a hard sell. People love vegetating in front of the television, myself included more often than I’d like. The problem is watching television doesn’t use your mental capacity OR allow it to recharge. It’s like having the energy sapped out of a muscle without the health benefits of exercise.
When you feel like relaxing, try reading a book instead. If you’re too tired, listen to some music. When you’re with your friends or family, leave the tube off and have a conversation. All of these things use your mind more than television and allow you to relax.
Exercise- I used to think that I"d learn more by not exercising and using the time to read a book instead. But I realized that time spent exercising always leads to greater learning because it improves productivity during the time afterwards. Using your body clears your head and creates a wave of energy. Afterwards, you feel invigorated(精力充沛)and can concentrate more easily.
小题2:_________-Many people like to read popular suspense fiction, but generally these books aren"t mentally stimulating. If you want to improve your thinking and writing ability you should read books that make you focus. Reading a classic novel can change your view of the world and will make you think in more precise, elegant English. Don’t be afraid to look up a word if you don’t know it, and don’t be afraid of dense passages. Take your time, re-read when necessary, and you’ll soon grow accustomed to the author’s style.
小题3:_________-Nothing makes it harder to concentrate than sleep deprivation. You"ll be most rejuvenated if you go to bed early and don’t sleep more than 8 hours. If you stay up late and compensate by sleeping late, you’ll wake up lethargic(无精打采)and have trouble focusing. In my experience the early morning hours are the most tranquil and productive. Waking up early gives you more productive hours and maximizes your mental acuity(敏锐)all day.
If you have the opportunity, take 10-20 minute naps when you are hit with a wave of drowsiness. Anything longer will make you lethargic, but a short nap will refresh you.
小题4:_________-Often our lives get so hectic that we become overwhelmed without even realizing it. It becomes difficult to concentrate because nagging thoughts keep interrupting. Spending some time alone in reflection gives you a chance to organize your thoughts and prioritize your responsibilities. Afterwards, you’ll have a better understanding of what"s important and what isn’t. The unimportant stuff won’t bother you anymore and your mind will feel less encumbered.
Conclusion-I hope you aren’t disappointed that none of the techniques I"ve proposed are revolutionary. But simple, unexciting answers are often the most valid. The challenge is having the will to adhere to them. If you succeed in following these 5 tips, you’ll be rewarded with increased mental acuity and retention of knowledge.

Last Saturday I went to the library as usually. At about noon, I was enjoying my reading near a lake while suddenly I hear someone crying for help. I went up to see what was happened I was shocking to find a little child struggling in the water in the distance while many peoples were standing by without doing anything. Without any hesitation, I had pushed through the crowd as I took off my coat, but jumped into the water quickly. I managed to reach him and carried him back to safety. To his great relief, the kid was saved.
I was proud what I had done. I hope everyone can give a hand when someone else is in need.

In the 60s, people asked about your astrological (about star) sign. In the 90s, they want to know your website.   1  Your website is an electronic meeting place for your family, friends and potentially, millions of people around the world. Best of all, you may not have to spend a cent. The web is filled with all kinds of free services and all it takes is some time and creativity.
2  Like the table of contents of a book or magazine, the home page is the front door. Your site can have one or more pages, depending on how you design it.
While web pages vary greatly in their design and content, most use a traditional magazine layout(版面设计). At the top of the page is a banner(横幅). Next comes a greeting and a short description of the site. Pictures, text, and links to other websites follow.
3  Think about whom the site is for and what you want to say. Next, gather up the material that you want to put on the site.
While there are no rules you have to follow, there are a few things to keep in mind:   4   If you are too much at the beginning, you may never get the site off the ground. You can always add to your site.
Less is better. Most people don’t like to read a lot of long text online.   55
Smaller is better. Since it can take a long time to download large image files, keep the file sizes small.
Have the rights. Don’t put any material on your site unless you are sure you can do it legally. Always remember to get the permission from the writer first.
Now it’s time to roll up your sleeves and start building.
A.Start simply.
B.Break it into small pieces.
C.Draw a rough layout on a sheet of paper.
D.Many websites are considered very interesting.
E.Before you start building your site, do some planning.
F.Think of your home page as the starting point of your website.
G.These days, having a web address is almost as important as a streetaddress.

When you make a mistake, big or small, cherish it as the most precious thing in the world. Because in some ways, it is.
60 . Most of us have been taught from a young age that mistakes are bad. And we are reminded that we should try to avoid mistakes. We’ve been scolded when we make mistakes — at home, school and work. Maybe not always, but probably enough times to make feeling bad about mistakes an unconscious reaction.
Yet without mistakes, we could not learn or grow.  61   . We don’t really consume information and instantly know it or know how to do it. Instead, we get information about something, from reading or from another person or from observing usually; then we construct a model in our mind, test it out by trying it in the real world, make mistakes, revise the model based on the results of our real-world experimentation and repeat, making mistakes, learning from those mistakes, until we’ve pretty much learned how to do it well.
62   . If you succeed at something, it’s probably something you already knew how to do it. You haven’t really grown much from that success — at most it’s the last step on your journey, not the whole journey. Most of the journey is made up of mistakes. By trial and error, we try out new strategies and make new discoveries, thus leading to higher payoffs. So if you value learning, if you value growing and improving, then you should value mistakes.    63
A.Just think about how we learn.
B.Everyone can make mistakes in their life.
C.Mistakes are how we learn to do something new.
D.It is natural that we are in a bad mood when we make mistakes.
E. Mistakes are amazing things that make a world of brilliance possible.
