In the contemporary society, people’s huge reliance on petrol is out of imagination, for instance for the use of cars or being the raw material of paper making, etc. However, petrol brings about traffic and pollution problems that disturb citizens’ and the environment’s health for ages. Thereby a fierce debate has been arisen --- whether increasing the price of gasoline is the best practice to minimize the existing traffic and pollution problems?
It has proved that higher the price of a thing is, lower the demand on it will be, and this concept can also be applied on petrol.
