The level of investment is defined by the amount of fixed capital accumulation and also the amount of phsical inventory accumulated by corporations. We see that the investment can be both exogenous and endogenous, and in the short run, governement policies are most effective in determining the level of investment in an economy. In the long run, technological advancement and a country's ability to handle this progress is most important. The first component of investment is autonomous investment, also called exogenous investment.
