不要管什么subordinating和coordinating,按照意思就可以了.意思就是尽管he is best known as a jazz vocalist,(但是)记住英文中但是是没有的,要不句子就不对了,(但是)他也喜欢gospel music,所以(so)he told...
whereby在这个句子里面根本就不符合逻辑.whereby是through which这样子的意思,例子:an idea whereby new inventions can be made,就是through this idea,new inventions can be made.这个句子里面的关系不是这样子的.句子中说的就是他还喜欢gospel music,所以他就要怎么怎么样子,理解意思就好了.
