A:After you graduate,what job do you want to find?a well-paid one or the one you love?
B:I hope I can find a well-paid job which also interests me.
A:In your dreams.It seldom happens.
B:To be serious,I truely think a well-paid job would be my first choice.I'm fed up with not having enough money to do the things I like.
A:As for me,salary would not be the priority.I'd rather choose a job I'm interested and enjoy doing.
B:I think I'll stick with my choice.In fact,most people don't take a job for fun.Work is nothing but a means to survive.If a person is well-provided for and allowed not to work,he will be in seventh heaven.
A:I can't agree with you.I consider work as an important part of our life.It helps us define who we are and gives us a sense of responsibility,we can make our existence meaningful and valuable.So I think it's advisable to take a job one likes and hence have the motivation to do it well.
B:Sorry,I don't buy your theory.For me,high salary is the best motivation to do my job efficiently.At any rate,work is work,and fun is fun."Work hard and play hard"is my motto.
A:I'm afraid I don't see eye to eye with you.On average,people work eight hours a day.Suppose we don't like the job we take and we simply work for money,in what mood do we spend those eight hours?I think it's a waste of precious lifetime if a person takes a job he doesn't like to do,no matter how much he earns.
B:We just don't speak the same language.To me,so long as the job offers me a high salary,I'll foster my interest in it and I'll do my best to make the job a success.Thought salary is my first concern,that doesn't mean I'll take any job that pays well.My bottom line is that the job won't be too tedious and won't drive me crazy.
A:I got your point.Actually I won't choose a job which interests me but can't support my life.After all ,we have an expensive cost of living in the citis nowadays.
B:So let's cross our fingers.Though the chance of landing a job which both pays well and interests us is slim.Let's believe in miracles and give it a shot.
