大老板邀请老板参加一个聚会,可以携客户出席.现在客户没有办法参加,写一个邮件给大老板说明情况……
我只想到一句：The client we supposed to invite is not available for this event; XX will attend it by himself.
因为是写给大老板,所以措辞啊上下文啊都要考虑,

邮件只要表达清楚意思就行.不像是书信高的很正式

thank you for the invitation of the party.my Client and I are all looking forward to be there.
Unfortunately,Mr YYY(客户）,my client,would not be present for the party by some(某些）reason.(be available for 也是不错的）.
As a result,i am afraid i would be there only by myself.
