分词结构代替原因状语从句
As I was anxious to please him,i bought him a nice present=Being anxious to please him,I bought him a nice present.
Because so many people were absent,We decide to put the meeting off=So many people being absent,We decided to put the meeting off.
这里为什么要用Being anxious ,being absent 不直接用absenting
只有现在分词能代替原因状语从句?还是.看主动被动来决定是用现在分词还是过去分词...如果过去分词或者不定式可以做原因状语从句 麻烦举几个例子

因为anxious 和 absent 两个单词都是形容词,不是动词,而动词短语可以代替状语从句,因此加了being 联系动词,构成动词短语being anxious to ...如: As he was ill, he didn't go to school = Being ill, he didn't ...
