你的这个短语有点怪,“窗户的房间”,应该反过来说吧：the window of the room
一般情况都是定于前置,如:a lovely day,a pretty girl,an interesting book,等等
只有少数几种情况定语后置：
（一）先行词为不定代词something,anything,everything,nothing somebody ,anybody ,everybody,nobody ,no one ,every one,any one some one等词,修饰它们的定语要放到它们的后面.
1.Is there anything (to eat))?有什么可吃的东西吗?
2.I have nobody （to turn to）?我没有可以求助的人.
（二）形容词短语修饰名词时,通常定语后置.
the girl( in red ) 穿红衣服的姑娘 the boy (over there) 那边的男孩
（三）定语从句修饰一个名词时,定语从句后置.
The boy (who is playing basketball there )is my brother.边打篮球的男孩是我兄
