Writing is NOT the primary medium of all languages.
The primary medium of all languages is speech.Speech comes before writing.
This must be so for reasons which include the following:
- Historically writing developed after the spoken language;
- Writing does not exist everywhere that spoken language exists;
- Writing has to be taught,whereas spoken language is acquired naturally.
