Addiction is a state in which the body relies on a substance for normal functioning.When this substance is removed,it can cause withdrawal.In other words,addiction is something that some people take or use excessively,as a result they can't live without.Let's start with something that people consider harmless,coffee.Many people can't function unless they have had their first or second morning coffee.Or tea for that matter.It's the caffeine that these people are addicted to.Many smokers have tobacco addiction.
The term addiction is also used to describe a recurring compulsion.For example,gambling.A lot of people stop themselves when it comes to gambling.The temptation is too much.Drinking is another addiction that you can easily see in daily life.
