It is impossible to fully detach ourselves from reality.With the advancements of science and technology,our world is tied together.Such high-tech monsters like cell phones,TVs and computers are information sources that are keeping us in closer contact with our families,friends and colleagues.They make communication easier than ever.Everyone is using cell phones,computers or whatever is related to the real world ,so there is no way to stay away from reality.
Seclusion may be a good way to escape from reality.In ancient times,we might be able to live in seclusion,however,in modern times,this might not be a feasible way.For examples,couriers,horses or pigeons used to be medias through which we send our messages.Usually,it took a long time to reach their destinations.Sometimes they couldn’t even get there.Nowadays,we send our messages and almost immediately the receivers will get informed.We cannot help but marvel at the ease with which technology changes our lives and brings us closer to reality.
Suppose a person can get rid of all the high-tech toys,what will he or she be likely to do then?Is he or she capable of living a completely isolated life?No way.How about following our logic to deduce what his or her life will be like when food runs out?Inevitably,he or she needs to buy foods,which means backing to reality.The same is true of people addicted to computer games.They maybe able to sustain their life without any food in three days.But eventually they will face real-world scenario.
Those thoughts to escape from reality are impossible.Just as the movie inception depicts,no matter how long dreams can be,when we finally wake up,we have to accept the reality.
