Psychology plays an important role in our daily life. For instance, we all have bad days once in a while. We are very upset, worry excessively and can’t concentrate. The way we feel may directly affect our sleep, our eating habits, our job, our relationships and our everyday life. If we talk to people we love, admire and trust about what’s bothering us, we may feel much relieved. Actually, psychology works in this case.
There is still another case that persons who have suffered from a life-threatening disease may enjoy a higher quality of life if they are surrounded by friends and family. This indicates that the mind affects the body. If someone we love is diagnosed with such kind of disease, we may feel desperate and helpless. But it doesn’t have to be that way. It is important that he or she feel truly cared about. We just try to give emotional support. Sometimes we all need a shoulder to cry on.
