He was also an actor and poet.
Shakespeare was born in 1564,in the English town of Stratford-upon-Avon.(The
exact date of his birth is unclear.His mother was a farmer's daughter and his father
was a farmer turned glove-maker.) In 1582,he married Anne Hathaway.They had
three children.
Shakespeare died at his home in Stratford on April 23,1616 at age 52.
Even today,almost 400 years after his death,his works continue
to influence English literature and language,and even modern-day movies.
