The boy pulled himself to the top of the wall and looked over.

2.仔细检查审视(某人或某物)
Please look them over.请把它们检查一遍
3.检查身体
The doctor is looking him over. 医生正在给他做仔细检查
如果是人称代词就要将它放在look 与over 之间,如look her over;如果是物放在look over后也行,放在look 与over之间也可,如:look over the box 或 look the box over
用法:The doctor is looking him over.
但是不能说成:
The doctor is looking over him.
医生正在给他做仔细检查
He is looking over the newspaper.
=He is looking the newspaper over.
他正在浏览报纸
