Though China has its own strong culture,Western food plays an important role in the modern shaping of cities across the country.Today you will find a number of fast food chains in China that experience just as much success as their Western counterparts.
Many family-run restaurants across China have been pushed out by American fast food chains.Kentucky Fried Chicken,Pizza Hut and Burger King are just a few chains that are popular in China.These restaurants adapt to local cuisine,but use the same type of menu and restaurant style.
Western fast food chains are popular in China because they are inexpensive and allow a variety of working class people to eat a meal out.These restaurants provide a quick meal,allowing more customers to filter through throughout the day.This results in higher profits,and eventually the construction of more restaurants.
