on the sewing machine. My 11yearold daughter was, in the midst of her project, going to assist her
elder brother in making a little cushion. I left, and after a few hours returned to find a mess in the
kitchen and in the front room, and both children sitting in front of the television.
Having had a long day, I was too tired to greet them and then I noticed the material my daughter
had used. It had been purchased to make a colorcoordinated (颜色协调的) baby blanket, and now
had chunks (块) cut out of almost every piece of fabric. Not stopping to listen, I exploded at the
children and explained how angry I was at what had been done.
My daughter listened to me sheepishly, not trying to defend herself at all, but the pain could be seen
written across her face. She retreated to her room, and spent some time there alone before she came
out to say good night and once again apologized for the mistake she had made.
A few hours later, as I was preparing to go to bed, I found that there on my bed lay a beautiful,
little cushion made out of the forbidden fabric, with the words "I LOVE MOM". Alongside it was a
note apologizing again, and the innocence in which she had taken the fabric.
To this day, I still get tears in my eyes when I think of how I reacted and still feel the pain of my
actions. It was I who then went to her and apologized for my actions. I display with great pride the
cushion on my bed, and constantly use it to remind me that nothing in this world is greater than a
child"s love.

The Farm Park is situated just off the A338, 9 miles north of Salisbury. Look for the brown tourist sign on the A338 and the A303. Ignore signs for East Cholderton.
OPENING TIME:
We are open every day from the end of March (or Easter if earlier) until the end of the Autumn Half
Term (about the end of October) from 10 am until 6 pm, last admission 4:45 pm. (NOTE: No
unaccompanied children admitted)
PARKING:
A free car and coach park is available.
DOGS:
Dogs may be brought into the park provided that they are kept on a lead and under control at all times.
CAFETERIA:
There is a cafeteria in the farm house serving hot meals and snacks. Clotted cream tea is a specialty.
Parties are catered for if booked in advance.
CHILDREN"S PLAY AREAS:
An adventure playground is located in part of the wood and an under 7"s play area is to be found near Rabbit World. A parent and baby room is available for feeding and changing.
ANIMAL FEEDING:
Bags of animal food are available for sale in the gift shop. Please do not feed any other food to any of
the animals without permission. Do not feed the fish.
TRACTOR & TRAILER RIDES:
These are available during peak times (see information board at Rabbit World) at a small additional
charge.
EDUCATION:
School groups are welcome, a special entrance rate is available, also a comprehensive teachers pack.
PARTY RATES:
Reduced admission charges are available to group of fifteen or more when booked in advance. Details on request.
SEASON TICKETS:
Season tickets are good value for regular visitors and last the whole season (March～October)

Disabled visitors are welcome, a specially adapted toilet is available and the majority of the park is
accessible.

| Crossroads International How does Crossroads work? Crossroads is a resource network. We take goods Hong Kong doesn"t want and give them to people who badly need them. We collect those goods and give them out in the welfare arena(福利院) in Hong Kong, Mainland China, elsewhere in Asia, Eastern Europe and Africa. So Crossroads is just that a Crossroads between need and resource. Who do we help? The welfare agencies we help do not run on large budgets(预算). They are grass-root groups who have seen a need and tried to meet it. They can"t get the job done without backup, though, so our task is to help them do their task. Our warehouse is full of goods, from computers to high chairs, clothing to books, stationery to medical provision, cupboards to dining sets. They send us a list of their needs and we try to match it with the resource we have in stock. How do we operate? Crossroads itself also operates on a low budget. We do not buy the goods we send. They are donated(捐赠) . Similarly, rather than raising funds for freight(贷运) ,we ask transport companies to donate their services. Nobody in our organization receives a salary. Even our full time staff work on a voluntary basis.
