Last Saturday , a foreign student named Mike came to visit Qingdao and lived in my home for 2 days.
During the two days ,I got around Qingdao with him visiting many well-known places, including ancient places of interest , modern city buildings and attractive seaside scenery and so on. Mike told me he was glad to learn more about the wonderful city and colorful Chinese customs. What’s more, the long-history culture of Qingdao and the hospitality of citizens left unforgettable and deep impression on him.
During our trip , I constantly offered him essential advice for visiting and shopping , hoping that he could have great fun in Qingdao. Frankly and thankfully, I also learnt a lot from him. All the time I communicated with him in English and I felt my confidence expanded a lot. In addition, I obtained more information about America.
Before his leaving , he said he looked forward to coming back to Qingdao again as soon as possible .And now I dream of going to America and Mike’s beautiful hometown one day.

In this case, governments will have to provide funds (基金) to research departments to develop new forms of energy on which cars can run. One idea, for example, is that people in California will be able to drive solar- powered cars since it is extremely sunny most of the time.
In other states, there are people developing new forms of fuel involving alcohol mixed with gasoline or new hybrids (混合物) like gasoline plus corn oil. Who knows what forms of new energy people will be using in the future? Without problems showing up, there will be no new solutions. Society needs to move forward. Sometimes, we need these challenges to motivate (激发) us to achieve great things.
