I went to a shop to buy a jacket one Sunday. It is famous one where there are a variety of clothes. I looked all around and finally find an attractive jacket. When I was asked the price, the assistant said, "Seventy dollars." He added that if I paid by cash, he would give me a discount – ten percent off the fixing price. I thought it was so expensive and started to leave. As I was left, he grabbed me and said, "Okay. Forty-five dollars." Delighting, I bought the jacket. However, when I got home and tried on my new jacket, I realized that anything was wrong with it. It had a pocket where wouldn"t open. I was speechless and looked at it in amazement.

Although the dangers of too little sleep are widely known, new research suggests that people who sleep too much may also suffer the consequences.
小题2:______
Investigators at the University of California in San Diego found that people who clock up 9 or 10 hours each weeknight appear to have more trouble falling and staying asleep, as well as a number of other sleep problems, than people who sleep 8 hours a night. People who slept only 7 hours each night also said they had more trouble falling asleep and feeling refreshed after a night’s sleep than 8-hour sleepers.
小题3:______
Previous studies have shown the potential dangers of chronic(慢性的) shortages of sleep — for instance, one report demonstrated that people who habitually sleep less than 7 hours each night have a higher risk of dying within a fixed period than people who sleep more.
小题4:______
For the current report, Kripke reviewed the responses of 1,004 adults to sleep questionnaires, in which participants indicated how mush they slept during the week and whether they experienced any sleep problems. Sleep problems included waking in the middle of the night, arising early in the morning and being unable to fall back to sleep, and having tiredness interfere with day-to-day functioning.
小题5:______
Kripke found that people who slept between 9 and 10 hours each night were more likely to report experiencing each sleep problem than people who slept 8 hours. In an interview, Kripke noted that long sleepers may struggle to get rest at night simply because they spend too much time in bed. As evidence, he added that one way to help insomnia is to spend less time in bed. “It stands to reason that if a person spends too long a time in bed, then they’ll spend a higher percentage of time awake,” he said.

This term I begin to change. I have realized however greater the difficulty is, I have to face with it. It’s no use screaming and shouting at others. Beside, there are teachers and friends around me who are ready to helping me. As long as I try my best, I can make a progress in any aspect. Now I feel every day is a pleasant day and the sun is always shining bright on my face.
This report presents details of home computers used by a random sample (随机抽样) of young people. It is a common idea that teenagers today know about computers and know how to use them in all aspects of their lives. We decided to try to find out whether that was true.
小题1: All the teenagers we chose said they had computers at home. We asked them how much time they spent on their computers in an average week, but we were most interested in what they used their computers for. The average time spent on a computer in a week was about 12 hours, with the highest user averaging 32 hours and the lowest user only 5 hours. 小题2: 小题3: Fourteen teenagers told us they did some word processing at home, but not very much. Only 2 of them said that computers helped them with their studies, while 8 of them told us they kept addresses and telephone numbers on their computers or used them as diaries.
