阅读理解。      Is your schoolbag too heavy to carry? The e-schoolbags will help you.
It is said that e-schoolbags are going to be brought into use in Chinese middle schools soon.
In fact (事实上) the e-schoolbag should perhaps be called an e-textbook. It is a small computer for
students. Heavy schoolbags have been a serious problem for them for a long time. But the e-schoolbag
will change everything. It is much lighter than a usual schoolbag. Also it is as small as a usual book, but it
can still hold all the things for study, such as a textbook, an exercise book and so on. They can be made
into chips (芯片) that are as small as a stamp. The students can read the text page by page on the screen, take notes (记笔记), or even send e-mails to their teachers. All they have to do is to put the right chip
into the e-schoolbag and press a button.
Some say that e-textbook can be easily broken; some say it is not good to students"eyes. But only
 time will tell. 1. An e-schoolbag is _______     A. a video
B. a small computer
C. a heavy bag
D. a usual book 2. E-schoolbags are used for _______     A. fixing buttons

or "Make a cup of coffee".
Robots are also used in American hospitals.  They can do simple jobs.  At one hospital, for example, a robot takes meals from the kitchen to patients" rooms.  It never gets lost because this robot has
a map of the hospital in its computer memory.
Though robots can help people in many different ways, they will never take the place of humans. 1. From the passage,  we know robots cannot be _______.              A. dangerous animals

any part of the world.  The satellites take pictures of the atmosphere (大气), because this is where the
weather forms  (形成). They send these pictures to the weather stations.  So meteorologists (气象学家)  can see the weather of any part of the world. From the pictures, the scientists can often say how
 the weather will change.
Today, nearly five hundred weather stations in sixty countries receive satellite pictures. When they
receive new pictures, the meteorologists compare (比较) them with earlier ones.  Perhaps they may
find that the clouds have changed during the last few hours. This may mean that the weather on the
ground may soon change, too. In their next weather forecast, the meteorologists can say this.
So the weather satellites are a great help to the meteorologists.  Before satellites were invented, the
scientists could forecast the weather for about 24 or 48 hours.  Now they can make good forecasts
for three or five days. Soon, perhaps, they may be able to forecast the weather for a week or more
ahead (提前) . 1. Why do we use the weather satellites to take pictures of the atmosphere? Because _______.                A.  the weather satellites can do it easily
B.  clouds form there
C.  the weather forms there
D.  the pictures can forecast the weather 2. Meteorologists forecast the weather _______.              A. when they have received satellite pictures
B. after they  have compared new satellite pictures with earlier ones
C. before they received satellite pictures
D. when they study satellite pictures 3. Maybe we"ll soon be able to forecast the weather  for _______.                A. one day
B. two days
C. five days
D.  seven days or even longer 4. The main idea of this passage is that satellites are now used in _______ .  A. taking pictures of the atmosphere
B. receiving pictures of the atmosphere
C. doing other work in many ways
D. weather forecasting
