unusual voice and he wanted to work in Disney"s cartoon films (动画片) for children. When Walt Disney
heard Nash"s voice, he said,"Stop! That"s our duck!"
The duck was the new famous Donald Duck, who first appeared (出现) in the film. The wise little duck
Donald lived in a old houseboat and wore his sailor (海员) jacket and hat. Later that year he became a star
after an eight minute Mickey Mouse film. The cinema audience (观众) liked him because he was lazy and
greedy (贪婪), and because he lost his temper (脾气)very quickly. And they loved his voice, when he became
angry with Mickey"s eight nephews (侄儿). Soon Donald was more popular than Mickey Mouse himself,
probably because he wasn"t goody-goody like Mickey.
In the 1930s, 1940s and 1950s Donald and his friends Mickey, Coody and Pluto made hundreds of Disney
cartoons. He also made educational (教育的) films about the place of the USA in the world, and safely in the

used by many different computers. If one part of the network was not working information could be send
through another part. In this way the computer network system would keep on working all the time.
At first, the Internet was only used by the government, but in the early 1970s universities, hospitals and
banks were allowed to use it, too. However, computers were still very expensive and the Internet was
